Fantastic game of football in Irvinestown last night in the Divison 4 league decider between Tempo and Maguiresbridge. A brilliant team effort saw Tempo prevail at the very end, an injury time penalty goal putting the team in front for the very first time. Full time score was 6-10 to 6-8. Congratulations to both teams for end to end football, Maguiresbridge obviously very disappointed to lose it in such a manner. But the desire and effort by the Tempo lads ensured the match went down to the wire. Several incredible goal mouth saves from Diarmuid McGirr in goals, along with some brave blocking and last gasp defending from his colleagues in front of him, kept Tempo in contention at times, especially early in the 2nd half. However, as Maguiresbridge tired in the warm evening sun, Ruairi Moore and Liam Magee got on top in the midfield sector, and Tempo were able to push for those vital scores with great linkup play from Brendy, Daly, Niall, and Cahir among others. Tempo pushed on and deservedly got over the finish line, with the winning score tucked nicely into the corner of the net with virtually the last kick of the game.

Liam Magee proudly received the shield from Fermanagh Games Development Manager Teresa McNabb.
