The annual Paul & Orla Blitz will be held this weekend, on Saturday 25th Jun, in Tempo. As always this should be a good day of football with several clubs around the county and further afield invited. The format is same as always, with the U12 competition being played off in the morning (starting at 10am). This will be followed by the minor girls competition, which is due to start between 1pm and 1.30pm.
As there will be a lot of visitors to the club on Saturday, and a lot of organising to ensure the day runs smoothly, anyone who can volunteer to help out in any way is invited to come along. Help is needed with officiating (lines people, umpires, referees, time keepers, score cards), or helping inside in the kitchen or in the changing rooms, etc as well as other tasks that will help keep the football running. As it is a long day of football help will be needed both during the morning and during the afternoon, so if available at any stage on Saturday please come along and see what you can. Some sandwiches and refreshments will be required for the players and mentors so these will also be gratefully accepted.
Lets get out and make this another successful tournament as we respectfully remember Paul and Orla Bogue.
