Important Adjourned AGM – 9th January at 7:30pm

The Adjourned Annual General Meeting for Tempo Maguires GAC will take place in the clubrooms on Monday 9th Janaury starting at 7:30pm sharp.

There are a number of substantive issues on the agenda including the annual Financial Report, the appointment of management personnel for all ladies teams and for the male U16s and reserve teams as well as a club registrar, a development officer and two club referees. If you are willing to fill one of these positions, please get in touch with a member of the Executive Committee as soon as possible.

There will also be a discussion on motions around potential changes (from Belnaleck, Devenish, Erne Gaels and Tempo) to the Senior League and Championship that are up for consideration at the January County Board Meeting and a decision on how the Tempo Maguires delegates will vote on those motions. These motions are included below for your consideration ahead of the meeting:

Changes to Fermanagh GAA Bye laws & Regulations -Competition Regulations
(To become 5b)
For starred Senior Division 1 & 2 games CCC shall fix pairings in such a way that clubs
with a similar number of county senior panellists shall play each other. (This regulation
can allow for an imbalance of one). Similarly teams without county panellists shall be
paired to play each other. These shall be the first fixtures planned, in advance, by CCC.

Club Championships
6) The Junior Football Championship is organised as follows…
The four competing teams shall play each other once on a round robin/league basis. All
games at a neutral venue. The two teams with most points shall qualify for the Junior
Championship final. If there is a tie the team(s) having scored most points shall qualify

That the top four and bottom four playoffs are abolished. Instead Division 1 and 2 Finals are contested between the top two teams in the division; with the bottom two teams in Division 1 relegated.
Devenish GAA (Referred to County Committee)

Change the current knock out system in SFC, IFC and JFC and replace it with a mini league system as follows
SFC and IFC
The 8 teams are divided into 2 groups of 4. Each team plays the teams in their group once. The teams finishing 1st and second progress to the Championship semi finals while the teams finishing 3rd and 4th progress to the relegation finals (SFC) and relegation semi finals (IFC)
Retain the current system of 2 IFC finalists replacing 2 SFC relegation final losers annually and 1 JFC winner replacing the loser of the IFC Relegation final. In the group stages where teams finish level on points the same criteria as proposed for All Ireland Top 8 playoffs is used to differentiate places and avoid the need for additional matches. Each club that has a ground that meets County Development Committee criteria shall host a home qualifier match, An away qualifier and the last round will be at a neutral venue. Gate money from the first two rounds is shared between the competing clubs after Co. Board expenses are deducted.
Erne Gaels GAA (Referred to County Committee)

5 (a) SFL Division 1 competition (2017) shall consist of ten teams and be played on a double round basis ie. 18 league games for each club. The Top 4 teams will compete in the league semi-finals. The bottom team in SFL Division 1 will be relegated to SFL Division 2. The second bottom team will play the team that loses the SFL Division 2 Final in a promotion/relegation playoff with the winner playing in SFL Division 1 the following year and the loser playing in SFL Division 2 the following year.
(b) The SFL Division 2 competition (2017) shall consist of ten teams and be played on a double round basis ie. 18 league games for each club. There will be no halfway split. The top 2 teams will contest the SFL Division 2 Final. The team that wins the SFL Division 2 Final will be promoted to SFL Division 1.The team that loses the SFL Division 2 Final will play the team that finishes second bottom in the SFL Division 1 competition in a promotion/relegation playoff with the winner playing in SFL Division 1 the following year and the loser playing in SFL Division 2 the following year.

6 (a) The Senior Football Championship (SFC) is organised as follows-
Round 1 games-SFC quarter finals.
The four 1st Round winners will enter the semi-final of the SFC and the two winners will contest the SFC final. The four 1st Round match losers will enter the championship relegation play-offs. The two defeated teams from those play-offs will contest the SFC relegation final with the loser being relegated to the following year Intermediate Championship (IFC). The IFC Champions will be promoted.
(b) The Intermediate Championship(IFC) is organised as follows-
Round 1 games-IFC quarter finals. The four 1st Round winners will enter the semi-finals, two winners will contest the IFC final and the winners will be promoted to the following year Senior Football Championship (SFC).

(d) Under 21 (U21) Football Championship
The U21 Football Championship shall be played on one day, in a blitz format, with an initial league followed by a knockout to determine the winners. The U21 Football Championship shall be 7 a side.
