Gumshields are Compulsory

A reminder that gumshields are compulsory, in recent weeks a number of underage players have not had gumshields. There will be zero tolerance with this. If a player does not have a gumshield they will not play or train.

Since January 1 2014, this rule applies to all players at all age grades. The move to make the wearing of mouthguards obligatory reiterates the Association’s long-term commitment to player welfare.
