The week opened with the juvenile side beginning their Section B league campaign with a home tie against Lisnaskea. Unfortunately there was to be a skeleton panel available, quite a number of players away on holiday, and the side on duty was well laced with under 14 panellists. The upshot was that the visiting Emmetts scored an emphatic victory but there were to be some encouraging pointers in the Tempo performance and with a full panel on board, hopefully from here on in, they should be able to more than hold their own in this grade. Next game up is this evening (Wednesday), an away meeting with Derrylin. The Annual Golf Classic will be held at the Clogher Valley G C on Saturday August 15th. This has proved to be a very popular event and that should be the case again this year. Main organiser is Malachy Graham but there is also a strong support team assisting him. Those interested in taking park can contact Malachy to book a tee time but further details will be released closer to the date.
On the Erne Cup front the side have chalked up their second win on the trot and the side is now beginning to edge out of the relegation zone. Latest victory was a high scoring contest with Newtownbutler the opposition.
Tempo Og programme for mid summer comes to an end this Friday with a Fun Evening which will also feature a BBQ. Starting time is scheduled for 7-00 and will have a 9-00 finishing time. Everyone more than welcome to attend.
Congratulations to the Fermanagh team and in particular to our own Damian Kelly who played an important role on the tremendous victory over Westmeath last Saturday. Hopefully our other panellist Aiden Breen will get some game time next weekend. All roads now lead to Croke Park.
The weekly games session on Thursday evening in the Community Centre is attracting better attendances but club members are still encouraged to attend if at all possible to ensure that the promotion remains a viable concern.
At the time of going to press the Lotto results for Saturday July 25th were not available.
