All those who have not yet returned their ticket sales in the National Draw are asked to do so before this coming Sunday evening/ Monday morning. Approximately 50% of tickets have been returned and the club thanks those who have done so. Since all monies collected go into club funding this draw does provide a terrific opportunity to boost finances and those who have still to submit their returns are earnestly encouraged to do so.

The Lotto jackpot for Saturday January 23rd was not won the numbers drawn being 1 7 12 and 21. Winners of the two £25 prizes were Aiden Breen and Una Shannon. The jackpot for Saturday January 30th stands at £6 900.

On duty for Saturdays January 30 and February 6 is the team led by Teresa McNabb,Thomas Dunne, Eunan McCann and Adrian Green. The team on duty for February 13 and 20 is Gerard Cassidy, Brian Rogers and Tony Kelly.

The first football competition of the new season will be the minor league, the opening game scheduled for a date in mid February. This will be finally decided by the next Co Youth Board meeting. Preparation for the competition has been ongoing over several weeks under the management eye of Declan McStravick, Sean McCaffery and Brendan Fee with a regular two training sessions per week regime in the Bawnacre complex in Irvinestown.

The team also played a challenge game with Tyrone side Clogher and have a second game with Fintona scheduled for tomorrow (Thursday).

Last season the juvenile squad put in a promising performance and hopes are high that that will be built on in this year’s older minor grade.

The drive to reach the target of membership for the five year funding scheme for the proposed new pitch development is now in its final stages and it is intended to have the scheme up and running come February. This will be in tandem with initial work on the project with the main body of work hopefully commencing in mid Spring. By mid summer there should be significant progress made overall. A billboard outlining the proposed development will be erected on the site inside the next week or so.

The weekly games session in the Community Centre resumed last Thursday after a postponement caused by poor weather. Prize money on offer is in the region of £2 300 and admission is £10.
