A two match schedule for the under 14 over the past week and mixed results here.
They began with a trip to Aughdrumsee and put in a lively first half effort, very much in contention on the turnover being just two points adrift.
But things went badly awry from there on and a defensive collapse saw a wave of goals conceded, the team decisively beaten at the end.
Much, much better in game two where they had Devenish as visitors and here they were to lead from start to finish. Three opening half goals had them clear at the break, Devenish then put in a fightback and looked like they might bridge the gap, but Tempo responded with a salvo of goals in mid half, four inside a matter of minutes and the tie was secure.
While the under 16 girls side await details of their league final, the attention on the ladies front switched to the under 14 squad who opened their league campaign with an away game to Ederney.
Not a successful start however as they were fairly well beaten by a strong opposition despite some promising individual contributions from defender Aoife Bradley, midfielders Anna Kennedy and Emily Reihill plus Laura Cassidy in attack.
Next game for them is a home tie with Erne Gaels.
The senior side resumed their league campaign with a massive home victory over visitors Belnaleck at Sunday lunchtime.
This was a complete non event with Belnaleck offering up only minimal resistance and the result was beyond doubt long before the interval was reached. Next up is a rearranged fixture on Wednesday evening, Maguiresbridge the visitors and this will certainly be a much different proposition as the ‘Bridge have shown themselves to be one of the division’s most competitive sides.
Woes of the Erne Cup team continue as they slumped to an away defeat to Roslea on Friday evening, the Shamrocks easily replicating their win of two weeks back.
Lotto jackpot for last weekend was not won the numbers drawn being 1 8 13 and 26. Winners of the two £25 prizes were K Duffy, Enniskillen and Mandy Evans, Maguiresbridge. Jackpot for the coming weekend now stands at £4 500. Team on duty for Saturday May 27th is Declan McCaffery, Matthew Jackson and Conor McNally.
