Club Notes 07.11.16

Congratulations to Ryan Bogue on his nomination on the Nicky Rackard team for 2016, the award presented at the GAA GPA celebration night in Dublin last weekend.

Ryan has been a very successful dual player since his career began, plying his hurling with Lisbellaw and Fermanagh and also a key figure on the Tempo football side, the highlight here for him being the 2012 championship and league double.

A demanding schedule for the talented but obviously highly committed sportsman and the national recognition is just reward for the service he has given both codes over a fine career.

Congratulations also go to Blaithín Bogue who has been named in the under 20 Ulster GAA All Star Awards.

Blaithín plays for the Mount Lourdes side and of course is a key presence on a number of Tempo Maguire’s club sides. A player with a tremendous future ahead of her and the club wishes her every success in the years to come.

The Lotto jackpot for the weekend of Saturday November 5th was not won the numbers drawn being 5 16 18 and 19. Winners of the two £25 prizes were Rosie Flanagan and Michael McCarney.Jackpot now stands at £5 500.

The team on duty for November 12th is Anthony McCaffery, Cathal Owens and Pat McAloon. Team on duty for November 19 and 26 is Barry Fee and Phillip Flanagan.

Weekly Games Session continues on Thursday evening in the Community Centre, first game at 9-00 and prize money is in the region of £2 300. Entrance is £10 for single book, £15 for double and club members are encouraged to support this fundraiser which also provides a social outlet for all.

The Tempo Og programme concluded last Sunday and will resume in the spring. Thanks are extended to parents, coaches and indeed anyone who contributed to the success of the scheme over the past nine months.

The November club meeting will be held in the club pavilion on Monday 14th with a starting time of 8-30 pm.
