Final game of the senior league campaign on Friday evening and it was to be a winning finale, the team scoring a five point home victory over Irvinestown.
They still remain in the relegation zone and will have a make or break fixture with Lisnaskea after the championship is over in several week’s time. The scenario to avoid the drop is that they have to beat the Emmett’s and then defeat the losers of the other relegation play off tie.
All that some time ahead however and the immediate focus is now on the championship quarter final clash with Erne Gaels, this scheduled for Brewster Park on Friday August
First blip for the under 17 side came in midweek when they lost out to visiting Lisnaskea. This was a well contested tussle and there will be disappointment that a win was not secured. The reserve side have their championship opener with Roslea at the weekend.
