Club Notes 04.01.16

The January club meeting will be held this Friday 8th in the club pavilion with a starting time of 7-30 pm. There is a considerable carryover of business from the December AGM.

Among the items on a full agenda will be the appointment of a club treasurer and assistant treasurer, two particularly vital positions given the current extent of financial work on a number of different fronts as the club prepares to embark on the major development scheme on the second pitch.

The financial report for 2015 will also be presented and given the strong performance of Lotto it is expected to show a reasonably healthy position but of course there is a massive outlay looming in the coming months.

Other positions still to be filled are that of team management for both senior and Erne Cup teams plus a few other administrative slots.

Two fund raising schemes are presently in the forefront of club activity. One of these is the drive for membership of the five year subscription to the new pitch development and the group dealing with this report that the target figure is now within reach.

The annual nationwide draw which is completely sponsored by Croke Park is also ongoing. Tickets have been distributed and these should be returned inside the next ten days or so to Damian Campbell. It is important that an early return be made to allow time to forward details to Croke Park and this process does take quite sometime.

Last season saw a very successful financial return and it is hoped that this will be repeated especially in view of the fact that sellers have been asked to sell a very limited amount.

The weekly Games Sessions in the Community Centre resume this Thursday January 7th with a starting time of 9-00 and patrons are reminded that the prize fund returns to the norm, still a total of £2 300 on offer.

The Lotto jackpot for the weekend of Saturday January 2nd was not won the numbers drawn being 3 4 5 and 8. Winners of the two £25 prizes were Julie McMahon, Tempo and Lorraine Davies, Glen. The jackpot for this coming weekend stands at a mouthwatering £6 600. Team on duty for this Saturday is Aiden Breen, Barry Breen and John Owens.

Team on duty for Saturdays January 16 and 23 is Aidy Bogue, Ciaran Campbell, Ryan Bogue and Stephen Cox.
