Tempo v Trillick Women & Mums Game a Great Success

A great evenings Football and craic was had by the neighboring Women of Tempo & Trillick and not a bad foul seen by the Referee.  Both teams had some players brand new to the game and some not so new but search they all had too for their boots.  The ball was thrown in by an upcoming Ladies Referee who managed to keep control of the game very well from the middle of the St. Patricks Park.  The start of the game yo yoed around the middle of the field for abit, one would be mistaken to think that neither team knew which way they were playing!  Things slowly were coming back too Tempo Maguires now and they headed on the attack, numerous attempts were made before the white flag was raised.  Trillick had transferred 4 players to the front of the mountain before the game started and the players turned out to be a great find.  Half time score board read 4 – 0 in favour of Tempo, Yes it was Gaelic the Ladies were playing – most of the time, however rugby/soccer skills were on display sometimes also.  The Second half proceeded with 4 new transfers, one turned out to be a mole in the Tempo Camp.  Trillick started too find their shooting boots and were rewarded with two points for their efforts.  Alot more attacks were being mustered up now by both sides, with very little in it.  The final whistle sounded with Tempo victorious on a scoreline 6 points to Trillick 4 points.  It was great too see old friendships being renewed, along with new ones being formed all in the spirit of the game.  The tea and sandwiches along with a chair was very much welcomed afterwards in Tempo’s Club Rooms and when the dust was just about settling talk of Round Two could be heard!  Congratulation to all who took part and played their part in this fun event, with a few pound raised along the way also in aid of #Together for SamTempo v Trillick 22Aug13
