Canon Tom Marron RIP

Tempo Maguires this morning learned the sad news that our beloved friend and former Parish Priest Canon Tom Marron has passed away.

Born in Carrickamacross, Co. Monaghan, Canon Marron was ordained in 1952 at St. Macartan’s College, Monaghan. His studies were completed at St. Patrick’s College, Maynooth, Co. Kildare.

His first place of service was in Ederney, Co. Fermanagh, followed by the Parish of Truagh, Co. Monaghan, and then Magherarney, Roslea. He subsequently came to Tempo, where he spent 20 happy years, and from here to Trillick, where he has been since 2002.

He was a great friend and active supporter of Tempo Maguires during his many years in the parish and he will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Many memories of our departed friend in club gallery http://www.tempomaguiresgac.com/gallery/

Funeral arrangements will be announced later and all offers of help with the funeral arrangements will be gratefully received over the coming days.
Our sympathies go to his family and friends at this time.

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis. Ní bheidh a leithéid ann arís.
